Lady OliverChi’Ira Oliver, at her core, is the personification of grace and power. Where she leads, she loves. Where she equips, she empowers. Where she supports, she soars. A native of Louisiana, and a graduate of Grambling State University and Southern University A&M College, Lady Oliver has married her intellect with her ingenuity and has left an indelible impact on women all over the nation through her ministry and passion for God’s people.

A proud member of the Delta Iota Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority since 1993, Mrs. Oliver has a B.S. in Computer Information Systems and a M.S. in Computer Science with a concentration in Software Engineering and has parlayed her educational acumen into a career that includes work with the CIA in Langley, Virginia, Merck & Co., in Lansdale, PA, and Hewitt Associates in Atlanta, GA, as a software engineer.

While her professional resume can stand alone, her work in the Kingdom of God will have an eternal impact. In 2009, Lady Oliver assumed leadership of the Women of Worship ministry at Elizabeth Baptist Church where her husband and love of her life, Dr. Craig L. Oliver, Sr. serves as Senior Pastor. Together, they empower the body of Christ and the over 17,000 members of EBC.

As leader of the Women of Worship (WOW) ministry of Elizabeth Baptist Church, Lady Oliver has orchestrated the rebranding and restructuring of the women’s ministry to become one of the largest and most impactful ministries within the EBC family. Through monthly ministry meetings, dynamic and life-changing conferences in which thousands of women are empowered and equipped through the Word of God; it is safe to say that Lady Oliver has touched and enriched the lives of countless women who are seeking to glorify Christ and impact the world for the Kingdom of God.  She also hosts domestic and international retreats in which the ladies who attend are refreshed, renewed and rejuvenated. To empower women naturally, Lady Oliver has offered practical seminars focusing on self- defense, fitness, and health & wellness to name a few.

Although Lady Oliver travels extensively with her husband for global mission work and bible study tours, taking care of home is essential. Therefore, she has created a WOW Boutique in which some of the proceeds are used for community outreach opportunities.  The WOW ministry has also hosted prayer breakfasts in which the proceeds were used to present scholarships for young ladies graduating high school. One of the most memorable outreach endeavors the WOW ministry has engaged in under Lady Oliver’s leadership was the partnering with a teen pregnancy center in which several teen mothers were blessed with all of the essentials necessary for the birth of their newborn.  Her life is an integration of spirituality connected with social outreach, ministering to the whole person with a desire to leave a footprint in the community.

During the 2016 WOW conference, Lady Oliver was presented with A Resolution from Georgia State Senator Donzella James.  Not only has Lady Oliver and the Women of Worship garnered attention in the State of Georgia, but she was recently asked to teach “Keys to Developing a Dynamic Women’s Ministry” during the Full Gospel Baptist Church International Fellowship’s PROPEL Conference in which she shared her leadership strategies with other women ministry leaders.  Lady Oliver is most humbled that God would choose her to serve in ministry and through that humility she strives to enable women to reach their full potential in Christ. Her heart’s desire is for the Women of Worship ministry to be a ministry that ultimately brings God glory.

Although Lady Oliver has a great passion to serve the women of EBC, her greatest joy and most important ministry is her family. She and Dr. Oliver have 3 beautiful children, Craig Jr., Corrie Kene’, and Charlee Reign.
